On April 1, 2026, a large-scale integrated refining and chemical base in China successfully completed its intelligent transformation project and commenced trial operation. The project encompasses core production units such as atmospheric and vacuum distillation, catalytic cracking, and hydrocracking. Through the comprehensive deployment of intelligent control systems, IoT monitoring terminals, and big data analysis platforms, it achieved automated control, precise operation and maintenance, and safe management throughout the entire production process, marking a new milestone in the intelligentization of China's refining and chemical industry.

It is reported that this intelligent transformation project broke through the traditional "manual inspection + experience-based control" model of refining and chemical units, constructing a closed-loop management system of "perception-analysis-decision-execution." More than a thousand intelligent monitoring devices deployed on-site can collect key production parameters such as temperature, pressure, flow rate, and composition in real time. Data is transmitted and analyzed in real time through an industrial internet platform, enabling rapid early warning and automatic triggering of emergency control measures in case of abnormalities, significantly reducing the risk of human error.

Tests showed that the upgraded refining and chemical plant achieved an operational efficiency increase of over 40%, reduced the number of inspection personnel by 35%, and significantly improved product quality stability. The pass rate for major products such as gasoline and diesel remained stable at over 99.9%. Simultaneously, unit product energy consumption decreased by 8%, and pollutant emissions decreased by 12%, achieving a synergistic improvement in efficiency, quality, and environmental protection. Industry experts pointed out that intelligent upgrading of refining and chemical plants is an inevitable trend for high-quality development in the industry and will be gradually promoted throughout the industry in the future, driving the refining and chemical industry to transform from "scale expansion" to "quality and efficiency improvement."
